Phone Directory on PBX System
VoIP Phone System Feature – Phone Directory
Phone Directory is a very smart feature. It can be used by internal and external callers both. When the number for the directory is called, the caller is encouraged to enter the first three alphabets of the name of the person he is trying to get in touch with. These three alphabets are pre-determined to be of the last name or the first name. The moment the code is pressed, the directory runs a search and matches the code to the closest possible user. It then plays that name for the caller to verify, before transferring the call to that extension. In case the search does not conclude on the person the caller is looking for, he or she can transfer the call back to the IVR.
