How to resolve send and receive email issues in Outlook 2010.

Method 2. Reconfirm E-mail account settings.

  1. Click on “File” tab and click on “Account Settings” menu item.outlook 2010 2 account setting menu
  2. Select “E-mail” account in “Account Settings” dialog box.outlook 2010 3 select account

  4. “Change Account” window appears on your screen. Check account settings like email-id, server address, user name and password. Click on “More Settings” button.outlook 2010 5 change account setting
  5. Click on “Outgoing Server” tab in the “Internet E-mail Settings” dialog box.outlook 2010 6 outgoing server
  6. Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” check box button if the server requires authentication.outlook 2010 7 server authentication

  8. Check the incoming and outgoing port numbers. Click “OK” to close the dialog box.outlook 2010 9 advanced settings
  9. On “Change Account” screen, click on “Test Account Settings…” button to check the change in settings and make further changes, till you get the things working. You can also check “Automatically test account settings when Next is clicked’ and click on “Next”.outlook 2010 10 next button
