Rootkit.Indag.A is a virus which spreads through another malware. The main objective of this virus is to stop any antivirus program running on the system. The objective therefore is to knock off a system’s protection. It usually affects the drivers on the system and registers itself as a device on the system to terminate processes. It replicates itself with the name \Device\GanDiao. The symptoms of being infected by this virus include irregular functioning and abrupt disabling of the antivirus software. The virus gathers information from the system and sends data back to the remote systems. It also logs the keystrokes made on the system to spread that information to the remote computers.Rootkit.Indag.A is bundled along with other malware and is propagated through the means employed by the malware to spread.
